Problem DescriptionRetrofit Chicago was established to support achievement of the broad goals of CO2 reduction in the urban environment. “The Retrofit Chicago’s Commercial Buildings Initiative highlights the leadership of building owners, managers, and tenants in making Chicago a center of building efficiency and a place where companies are maximizing their ability to compete,” said Mayor Emanuel of the program.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel has identified energy efficiency as a priority for strengthening Chicago— helping Chicago to be the most affordable, competitive, attractive, livable, and sustainable city of the 21st century.
Retrofit Chicago’s energy efficiency pursuits will help:
