Maalka is an Energy Star Portfolio Manager partner, providing full integration with Portfolio Manager data as well as extensive support for 5-60 minute interval data from electric, gas, and water meters. Maalka provides Open Data and Open APIs to support integration with initiatives and platforms globally.

Maalka was the winner of the Department of Energy Better Buildings App Showcase Contest where they demonstrated an end-to-end solution for launching large-scale data-driven building sustainability initiatives based on the Standard Energy Efficiency Data (SEED) Platform and EPA Portfolio Manager. The presented solution emphasized a suite of tools for analyzing and visualizing large sets of disparate data, dynamically generating building performance and progress reports, and engaging a network of sustainability program stakeholders (building owners, managers, third parties) with digital resources and building operation improvement guidance. The contest featured demonstrations of several solutions, with Maalka receiving over 50% of the vote from a crowd that included public (cities, states) and private (commercial real estate organizations) stakeholders. The Maalka platform is an open, customizable solution that enables concurrent management of targeted sustainability programs that span geographies, organizations, and focuses.
