Open-sourced Application

Summary

Making applications open-sourced is an important step for any tool that is aiding vulnerable and/or disenfranchised populations. These populations in the highest risk bracket often have the greatest need for assessment tools, but also cannot commit the resources to develop in house solutions. A collaborative and open sourced tool allows for: 1) The utilization of many different architects which creates better design and lowers costs 2) Allows for the free and unlimited access and modification of this tool moving forward. An example of such an application is Swiss Re's Climada
