Business Development Workshops

Summary

FoodLab Detroit hosts an annual workshop (called BASE) as well as a series of other workshops all centered around the idea of teaching new food entrepreneurs essential skills to make their emerging triple bottom line businesses as successful as possible. These workshops consist of small cohorts (< 20 businesses) who can learn from each other and potentially collaborate. There is also an emphasis placed on acquiring formal business skills. These events give those with an compelling idea, but maybe not the resources or connections to make it a reality, what they need to succeed.
